Whether it's your spouse, bestie or mother, get ready for your birth partner to get involved too!

We’ll teach you how to ride the waves of contractions with the power of your breath, helping you stay relaxed, keep your oxygen flowing, and alleviate pain during childbirth.

"As a first time mom, I am so grateful to have found Repose Birth Services.

I was eager to have an experienced partner guide with me on my birth journey to support both my husband and me, and Lorraine and her team really delivered.

I cannot recommend working with a doula enough to any first time moms, and you will be taken care of and in great hands with Repose. My third trimester was really tough, but knowing I had their support going into my labor made me feel more secure. Thank you for everything!"

Birth Doula FAQ

What’s the difference between a doula and a midwife?
A midwife is a medical professional who provides clinical care, while a doula offers emotional, educational, and physical support. Think of doulas as birth coaches. We help you prepare for labor, understand your options, and stay grounded through every stage of birth. We guide you and your partner through comfort measures, breathing techniques, and advocacy strategies so you can feel confident and supportedWe work well alongside medical providers however we would never replace them.
Can I still benefit from a doula if I have a supportive partner?
A doula complements that bond by bringing expertise in pregnancy, childbirth, and navigating medical environments. We enhance the support you already have through continuous care, hands-on comfort techniques, and advocacy tools. Many partners share that having a doula helped them feel more informed, confident, and capable of supporting their loved one throughout labor.
When should I hire my birth doula?
We recommend securing your doula around 20–28 weeks of pregnancy to ensure the best match and availability. However, we occasionally have space for last-minute bookings, so reach out anytime.
What happens if my doula is unavailable when I go into labor?
You’ll always have a trusted backup. Our agency model ensures that if your primary doula is unavailable, another equally skilled team member will step in seamlessly.
Do your doulas attend hospital births or only home births?
We attend births in all settings as long there is a licensed medical provider present, which can include hospitals, birth centers, and home. Our goal is to help you feel informed, confident, and supported wherever you choose to give birth.
Once I go into labor, when does the doula's support start? Can the doula help me labor at home?
Our labor and delivery support begins once you arrive at your chosen birth setting in active labor. During the early stages, you and your birth partner can put into practice the tips, techniques, and comfort strategies we cover during your prenatal visits, helping you navigate this time together until we join you to provide hands-on support.
