Although pregnancy can be a scary and difficult time, we hope to relieve that stress for as many expectant mothers as we can. Unfortunately, many pregnant women feel that they need a doula but have a difficult time being able to afford one. Your generosity can help make it possible for these soon to be mothers.
The apparent disparities between the treatment and maternal health of black women compared to other races, causes for a great concern in the Black community. Black women deserve to have a safe and healthy pregnancy and childbirth experience, however, in order to ensure such outcomes, great changes must take place. This involves access to better care, and a genuine urgency in response to the needs of black birthing women in the healthcare system. With this in mind, we at Repose Birth Services have made it a priority to educate and uplift Black birthing women.
